The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sydney Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 4 minutes, Gustavo Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malwee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wellington Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Souza's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Wellington Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Sydney Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Mello having to interfere. Wellington Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Souza in the 21st minute of the match. If Ronaldo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Anicuns SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Prestes came free, but Wellington Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Souza in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Mello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernandão Gomes's late challenge caught a Anicuns SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandão Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd of the match, Benjamim Domingues tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Chicão Torres got in the way and made a wonderful save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Prestes in the 46th minute of play forced Anicuns SC's goalkeeper Wellington Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 57th minute Benjamim Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Anicuns SC's goalkeeper Wellington Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Souza. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Marco Pimenta got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Wellington Mello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Prestes's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Gustavo Souza scored 0-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wellington Mello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chicão Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Pernambucano in the 76th minute of play. Sydney Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Malwee's Sydney Prestes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 96th minute Sydney Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Malwee could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anicuns SC throughout the match.
