After 6 minutes, Noel de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasília United MZ Team and the Paulista FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Brasília United MZ Team getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Noel de Almeida hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Brasília United MZ Team's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enrique Catarinense fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. José Pedro Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Tasso in the 10th minute of the match. Ramiro Trevisan was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Horácio da Costa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Horácio da Costa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Gilson Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Mangueira having to interfere. Paulista FC's José Pedro Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Baptista in the 24th minute of play. Jean Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Tasso in the 27th minute of play forced Paulista FC's goalkeeper José Pedro Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Paulista FC's Horácio da Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Enrique Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ramiro Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Pedro Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. César Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ramiro Trevisan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Horácio da Costa made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Yuri Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasília United MZ Team and the Paulista FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Paulista FC booed when Brasília United MZ Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júnior Dias's late challenge caught a Paulista FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Dias helped the player get up and apologised. If Jean Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Baptista took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Pedro Mangueira. José Pedro Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paulista FC's goalkeeper José Pedro Mangueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Enrique Catarinense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Trevisan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Jean Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brasília United MZ Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean Tasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Pedro Mangueira having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Brasília United MZ Team's José Pedro Mangueira threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilson Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jean Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Mangueira having to interfere. Paulista FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
