Gernando Carneiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Doriva Quadros skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Doriva Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Diogo Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kiko de Lima in the 16th minute of play. Cerro Fc's Kiko de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute Belmiro Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maicon Toscano made in the 26th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which David Nogueira however managed to control. 27 minutes into the game, Belmiro Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Diogo Melo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belmiro Silva during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ELITE DO MZ booed when Cerro Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doriva Quadros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gernando Carneiro went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the match, ELITE DO MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko de Lima came free, but Diogo Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Kiko de Lima made a precise shot to the right of Diogo Melo. ELITE DO MZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kiko de Lima was the one to do the kick off.
