Sydney de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Sandro de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Trancoso in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Marcel Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bairrinho SS and the Alexandrita SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcel Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Durvalino Mangueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Mangueira in the 55th minute of play forced Alexandrita SS's goalkeeper Yan Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yan Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Garcia having to interfere. Marcel Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Yan Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Durvalino Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Bairrinho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durvalino Mangueira couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Bairrinho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Trancoso came free, but Donato Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisinho Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Garcia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Sydney de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandrita SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bairrinho SS fully deserved thier win.
