EC Guará - FPEMZ's Hortêncio da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Sá in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Sá in the 13th minute of play forced EC Guará - FPEMZ's goalkeeper Hortêncio da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Águia Dourada F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro do Valle. Hortêncio da Rocha came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Águia Dourada F.C.'s Sandrinho Sá. But to his dismay, Sandrinho Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio da Rocha was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rdth minute of the game Sandrinho Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EC Guará - FPEMZ's Hortêncio da Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hortêncio da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Sá in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in EC Guará - FPEMZ's zone, Fernandinho Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio da Rocha came out of the goal and Fernandinho Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandrinho Sá in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hortêncio da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Ceresso in the 36th minute of play. Alexsandro do Valle made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fernandinho Ceresso. Hortêncio da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Sá in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Torgeir Lie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Guará - FPEMZ and the Águia Dourada F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to EC Guará - FPEMZ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Torgeir Lie hit a great ball. Hortêncio da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Ceresso in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of EC Guará - FPEMZ booed when Águia Dourada F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sandrinho Sá made the kick off in the second half. Hortêncio da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Ceresso in the 52nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Zé Augusto Cabral took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Hortêncio da Rocha to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the EC Guará - FPEMZ defense, Sandrinho Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio da Rocha. The EC Guará - FPEMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio da Rocha should have stopped the shot. If Sandrinho Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torgeir Lie hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th match minute, Águia Dourada F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Augusto Cabral to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, EC Guará - FPEMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Ceresso came free, but Hortêncio da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, EC Guará - FPEMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Ceresso came free, but Hortêncio da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Giovani Paranaense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hortêncio da Rocha was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Paulão Cardozo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
