Mauro Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Carlinhos Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juarês Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Fantini having to interfere. When Mané Sena fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olaria MZ's protests and gave Mané Sena a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Cardozo a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jano Meira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Olaria MZ's Mauro Fantini. 0-3. In the 38th minute, Juarês Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Cabral in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Juarês Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Fantini. Olaria MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Juarês Cordeiro scored 0-5 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Fantini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Donato made the kick off in the second half. Frédson Marinho struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Mauro Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo. Juarês Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Fantini having to interfere. Kiko Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mauro Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Olaria MZ's zone, Kiko Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Fantini came out of the goal and Kiko Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juarês Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Cabral struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mauro Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo. Mauro Fantini was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Juarês Cordeiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juarês Cordeiro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Carlinhos Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Silveira in the 77th minute of play forced Cardozo's goalkeeper Renato Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cardozo's zone, Carlinhos Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renato Quirino came out of the goal and Carlinhos Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Olaria MZ's goalkeeper Mauro Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juarês Cordeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Mauro Fantini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Carlinhos Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cardozo played a much better game than Olaria MZ and deserved their victory. The Olaria MZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
