The tension between the Caviuna EC and the Prego players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ezequiel Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Prego's Dedê de Brito got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 58thth minute of the game Ezequiel Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caviuna EC's Cauã Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the game, one of Caviuna EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Prego's Ezequiel Nogueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cauã Braga. That made the score 1-3 after 65 minutes of play. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
