A hard and well directed shot from Jano Meira led 6 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Shanna ARND S.C.'s Frank Bezerra became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. Juarês Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Bezerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Gino de Almeida hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Juarês Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardozo's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 16 minutes, Edgar Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shanna ARND S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kiko Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Frank Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Cardozo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edgar Silveira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 22 minutes, Edinho Hoffmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shanna ARND S.C. and the Cardozo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cardozo booed when Shanna ARND S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Juarês Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Bezerra. Shanna ARND S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Frédson Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardozo's supporters rose to their feet, but Frédson Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kiko Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Frank Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iuri Viana during the 35th minute. Edgar Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juarês Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Bezerra having to interfere. Marcinho Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcinho Leite the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cardozo!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juarês Cordeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Kiko Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Bezerra having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Edgar Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shanna ARND S.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Bezerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frank Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiko Gonçalves in the 79th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Shanna ARND S.C. defense, Juarês Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Bezerra. The Shanna ARND S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Juarês Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Frank Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Juarês Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shanna ARND S.C.'s Frank Bezerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renato Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinho Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Edinho Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Cardozo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Shanna ARND S.C. throughout the match.
