Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alfredinho Pitta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 9th minute João Francisco Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, João Francisco Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caviuna EC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Francisco Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perivaldo Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of BIRMINGHAM booed when Caviuna EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adilson Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caviuna EC's protests and gave Adilson Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. Adilson Aguiar hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes BIRMINGHAM got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Pitta. Rony Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauã Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Pitta in the 21st minute of the match. Rony Cardoso in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cauã Braga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 24th minute João Francisco Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauã Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredinho Pitta's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Caviuna EC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Pitta came free, but Cauã Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Rony Cardoso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Caviuna EC's Cauã Braga. Cauã Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cauã Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Cauã Braga made a huge save. Renato Rosa took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perivaldo Aparecido. Perivaldo Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Francisco Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Rony Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauã Braga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredinho Pitta went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Rony Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cauã Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BIRMINGHAM. With an all-out effort, Caviuna EC's Perivaldo Aparecido threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Francisco Barral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Perivaldo Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Barral in the 74th minute of play. Adilson Aguiar was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alfredinho Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Braga having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BIRMINGHAM's Sílvio Luís Ramos got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Renato Rosa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Perivaldo Aparecido skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Renato Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the BIRMINGHAM players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
