Sete Pecados Capitais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardozo the free kick. Yuri Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Juarês Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulão Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Renato Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lino Amorim was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Sete Pecados Capitais's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Paulão Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Sete Pecados Capitais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Lino Amorim did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Renato Quirino 26 minutes into the match. Ediberto Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Cordeiro in the 37th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Juarês Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardozo's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Abel dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Lino Amorim made the kick off in the second half. Ediberto Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Cordeiro in the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Juarês Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardozo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Cardozo's Juarês Cordeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 65th minute of the match Kiko Gonçalves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ediberto Paraibano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Sete Pecados Capitais's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Gonçalves came free, but Ediberto Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cardozo's Manoel de Amaral got a free kick in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Paulão Trevisan notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Cardozo's Renato Quirino. Renato Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Juarês Cordeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ediberto Paraibano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Kiko Gonçalves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Sete Pecados Capitais fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cardozo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
