Caviuna EC's Renato Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emerson Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Braga having to interfere. Emerson Guedes in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cauã Braga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Caviuna EC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Renato Rosa hit a great ball. Cauã Braga made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Osmar Teles sent off a good shot on target. Jefferson Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Francisco Barral in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Caviuna EC's zone, Nicolas Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauã Braga came out of the goal and Nicolas Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Emerson Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penedia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cauã Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caviuna EC's Cauã Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Neiva in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Penedia SS's Emerson Guedes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cauã Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Caviuna EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Emerson Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cauã Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, João Francisco Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caviuna EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when João Francisco Barral made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Emerson Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penedia SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was beautiful to see Penedia SS's Fiori Souto in action when he in the 56th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Emerson Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Braga having to interfere. If Emerson Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cauã Braga. Caviuna EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. João Francisco Barral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jefferson Cosme came out and tried to block the shot, but João Francisco Barral slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 69th minute. Cauã Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Neiva's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Penedia SS's Emerson Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Jardel Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Emerson Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penedia SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Ademir Tróia put in a rough tackle. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Penedia SS. Fiori Souto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cauã Braga. 1-1. Renato Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Cosme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Caviuna EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Penedia SS had controlled the match.
