In the 9th minute, Benedito Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Nicolas Loureiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ediberto Duarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th match minute, Hoppe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Carlos da Silva struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ediberto Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoppe FC. Benedito Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomé Paraíba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedito Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Hoppe FC's zone, Benedito Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Paraíba came out of the goal and Benedito Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Swat do bairro's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos da Silva came free, but Ediberto Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedito Romero got free with Tomé Paraíba in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedito Romero did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Tomé Paraíba 33 minutes into the match. If Benedito Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vitório Silva came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Swat do bairro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório Silva couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hoppe FC's goalkeeper Tomé Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ediberto Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Bezerra in the 42nd minute of the match. Benedito Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Paraíba having to interfere. Tomé Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Silva in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Hoppe FC's goalkeeper Tomé Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito Romero. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benedito Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. Swat do bairro's Benedito Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitório Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Ismael Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Benedito Romero put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tomé Paraíba. When Nicolas Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Hoppe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Loureiro couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ediberto Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Hoppe FC's Nicolas Loureiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediberto Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Vitório Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swat do bairro's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomé Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Ferraz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Hoppe FC's Ismael Marques couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Swat do bairro. 93 minutes into the match, Hoppe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Romero came free, but Tomé Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Swat do bairro were the better team. Swat do bairro's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
