Juarês Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Bezerra having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Edgar Silveira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cardozo's Renato Quirino. Renato Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cardozo's Renato Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Hoffmann in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Juarês Cordeiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frank Bezerra. That made the score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. If Kiko Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cardozo's Juarês Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Shanna ARND S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Shanna ARND S.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Juarês Cordeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cardozo's Renato Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Hoffmann in the 41st minute of play. Cardozo's Juarês Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Iuri Viana hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Juarês Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Cardozo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Wilson Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute Magno de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edinho Hoffmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Renato Quirino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cardozo's Juarês Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juarês Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
