Róbson Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Zé de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Renato Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juarês Cordeiro succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Kiko Gonçalves scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Róbson Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Róbson Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kiko Gonçalves went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Róbson Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Róbson Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Cordeiro in the 42nd minute of the match. Juarês Cordeiro scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Róbson Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Frédson Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

A collision led to Cardozo getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Samuel Cabral hit a great ball. In the 62ndth minute of the game Juarês Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prego's Róbson Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Róbson Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Edvaldo Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Prego got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Andrade. In the 94th minute, Edvaldo Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Cardozo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Prego throughout the match.
