After 25 played minutes Clube Atlético dos Craque got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho de Souza. With a little luck, Swat do bairro's Ediberto Duarte got control of the ball when Ediberto Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Lino da Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ediberto Duarte. Swat do bairro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lino da Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedito Romero to make the kick off. Ulisses de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Ceresso having to interfere. Lino da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Duarte having to interfere. Lino da Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ediberto Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lino da Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute, Benedito Romero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swat do bairro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 76 minutes into the game, Ediberto Velloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atlético dos Craque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swat do bairro the free kick. Ediberto Velloso hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Carlos Augusto de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Ceresso having to interfere. Swat do bairro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
