The supporters of Cardozo booed when Clube Atlético dos Craque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Pedro Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Renato Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino da Rocha in the 15th minute of play. Juarês Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro Ceresso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 minutes, Samuel Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cardozo and the Clube Atlético dos Craque players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cardozo getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Samuel Cabral hit a great ball. When Lino da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Clube Atlético dos Craque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino da Rocha couldn't finish the play. José Pedro Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Lino da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Juarês Cordeiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Pedro Ceresso. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. When Frédson Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardozo's protests and gave Frédson Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. Frédson Marinho hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Juarês Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardozo's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Pedro Ceresso having to make a save. Cardozo's Juarês Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juarês Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. José Pedro Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tales Lara to make the kick off. Juarês Cordeiro took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Pedro Ceresso. José Pedro Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Filipe Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Tales Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cardozo's Juarês Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Clube Atlético dos Craque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Juarês Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juarês Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Ceresso having to interfere. José Pedro Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Marinho in the 72nd minute of the match. José Pedro Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. José Pedro Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juarês Cordeiro went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Clube Atlético dos Craque defense, Kiko Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Pedro Ceresso. The Clube Atlético dos Craque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Pedro Ceresso should have stopped the shot. Samuel Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. José Pedro Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Juarês Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardozo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Cardozo were the better team. Cardozo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
