Ediberto Duarte came out and tried to block the shot, but Osvaldo Donato slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Olaria MZ's zone, Ulisses de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Fantini came out of the goal and Ulisses de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute Ulisses de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 45th minute, Simão Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlinhos Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ediberto Duarte made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Donato made the kick off in the second half. Vitório Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Carlos Augusto de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mauro Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ediberto Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Silveira in the 61st minute of play. If Ulisses de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Carlinhos Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Olaria MZ fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Olaria MZ's Osvaldo Donato looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 75th minute Carlinhos Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Ulisses de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olaria MZ's Mauro Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Olaria MZ from getting a goal against them. Luiz Guilherme Martins struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mauro Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swat do bairro. When Ulisses de Sena came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Swat do bairro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulisses de Sena couldn't finish the play.
