In the 18th minute, José Valle fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Reynaldo de Azevedo, passed just outside the right post. Marcel Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Paraibano in the 22nd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, José Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo de Azevedo. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltazar Linhares to strike the kick off in the second half. When Mané Tande fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some careless play in the Adidas Ec defense, Aloísio Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Bezerra. The Adidas Ec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Marcel Bezerra was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Dagoberto Mineiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dagoberto Mineiro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
