Spectators: 7246 (Terracing: 5436, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Téo Vianna took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Gildo Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Mattos was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gildo Valladares in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Mattos saved Boiúna Futebol Clube from getting behind. After some careless play in the Boiúna Futebol Clube defense, Ciro Furtado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mazinho Mattos. The Boiúna Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mazinho Mattos should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Ciro Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mazinho Mattos. Ciro Furtado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ciro Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirary's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazinho Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juninho de Medeiros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Mazinho Mattos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd match minute, Boiúna Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Abraão to maneuver through the defense. Boiúna Futebol Clube's Zé Carlos Seco suffered a concussion after 25 minutes and had to leave the field. Cido Barros's late challenge caught a Boiúna Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cido Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mirary getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Cido Barros hit a great ball. Mazinho Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo Valladares in the 27th minute of play. Juninho de Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Mazinho Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mirary. In the 32nd match minute, Boiúna Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Pereira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 33 minutes, Ciro Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gildo Valladares in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mazinho Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute Juninho de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Brito's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When Mirary's Ciro Furtado in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boiúna Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Doriva Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Boiúna Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Boiúna Futebol Clube's Mazinho Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Boiúna Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Mazinho Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo Valladares in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gildo Valladares to make the kick off. Luís Carneiro shot from long distance in the 55th minute, but Elivélton Magalhães was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Evaristo Barbosa hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mirary booed when Boiúna Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Ciro Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mazinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Boiúna Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Valladares came free, but Mazinho Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Ciro Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Juninho de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Abraão got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Boiúna Futebol Clube's Ricardo Abraão got a free kick in the 67th minute. Juninho de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boiúna Futebol Clube's Mazinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Valladares in the 70th minute of play. If Ciro Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gildo Valladares struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Mazinho Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mirary. Juninho de Medeiros scored 4-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mazinho Mattos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Ciro Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boiúna Futebol Clube's Mazinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Furtado in the 81st minute of play. Mathias Brito hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. A collision led to Boiúna Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Haroldo das Neves hit a great ball. After 86 minutes of play, Mirary's Mathias Brito made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mazinho Mattos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 90 minutes, Mathias Brito made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Boiúna Futebol Clube's Mazinho Mattos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mazinho Mattos came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mirary's Mathias Brito. But to his dismay, Mathias Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Mathias Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
