If Severino Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Salles having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Zoio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. Zoio FC's Renatinho Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Souza in the 28th minute of play. Olavo Vergílio's late challenge caught a Zoio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olavo Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Olavo Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Juninho Lima managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Zoio FC's Noel Alves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zoio FC's Renatinho Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu da Cunha in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Lustosa's Ricardo Valle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renatinho Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Renatinho Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renatinho Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Vergílio in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gugu da Cunha to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Thiago do Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zoio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago do Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lustosa's Juninho Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Mineiro in the 57th minute of play. Noel Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Lima having to interfere. Giovanni Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Noel Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juninho Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Mineiro in the 66th minute of play. Zoio FC's Renatinho Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Zoio FC from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the match, Zoio FC's goalkeeper Renatinho Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Souza. Zoio FC's Renatinho Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu da Cunha in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Valle got free with Renatinho Salles in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu da Cunha in the 85th minute of play forced Zoio FC's goalkeeper Renatinho Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Lustosa's Gugu da Cunha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renatinho Salles. Renatinho Salles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. When the final whistle went the supporters of Lustosa were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Zoio FC side.
