Donato Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cafu Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Donato Custódio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Travassos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Sidney Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cafu Travassos was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Edgard Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 minutes of play, Mensageiros da paz's Sidney Almeida made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Travassos was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Silveira to make the kick off. Edgard Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Marinho having to interfere. Osvaldinho Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Custódio in the 58th minute of the match. Cafu Travassos made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Sidney Almeida sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Brochier's zone, Donato Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Travassos came out of the goal and Donato Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donato Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Travassos having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Donato Custódio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cafu Travassos, 1-3. The audience was convinced that Donato Custódio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cafu Travassos was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Donato Custódio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mensageiros da paz booed when Brochier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jano Gonçalves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Osvaldinho Nóbrega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Breno Marinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Silveira in the 96th minute of play forced Mensageiros da paz's goalkeeper Breno Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olívio Soares during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mensageiros da paz's Olívio Soares got a free kick in the 97th minute. Mensageiros da paz played a much better game than Brochier and deserved their victory. The Brochier players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
