The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th match minute, Gracismoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Lúcio Terra acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 11th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bernardinho Breckenfeld. Clemente Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Terra having to interfere. Clemente Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lúcio Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Noel Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho de Castro in the 27th minute of play forced THUNDER FC's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 34 minutes into the game, when Tiago Gabriel Breckenfeld put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gracismoes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Sílvio Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Noel Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. If Clemente Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Gracismoes were awarded a corner. Edvaldo Botelho went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Toninho de Castro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After having played for 62 minutes, Horácio Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THUNDER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. THUNDER FC's Horácio Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ronaldinho Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Horácio Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Lúcio Terra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 83 minutes, Hermínio Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gracismoes and the THUNDER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gracismoes's Hermínio Albuquerque got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Lúcio Terra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Baiano's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Horácio Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lúcio Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
