Xandy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rômulo Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Xandy FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gilberto Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rômulo Pereira's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind CTMM - FDFDF's goalkeeper Gilberto Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josué Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Rômulo Pereira made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Amaral. CTMM - FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Sílvio Travassos charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Travassos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sílvio Travassos hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Rômulo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Jairo Pirani made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Josué Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilberto Amaral. The goal made the score 0-3. Reinaldo Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Proença in the 57th minute of play. Zé Augusto Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Jairo Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xandy FC's Reinaldo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Pirani in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match, Josué Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilberto Amaral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to CTMM - FDFDF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Zé Carlos Carvalho hit a great ball. After 91 played minutes Xandy FC got a freekick which was hit by Chicão de Lima. Jairo Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinaldo Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Pereira in the 94th minute of play forced CTMM - FDFDF's goalkeeper Gilberto Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Rômulo Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 99 minutes into the match, Xandy FC's Rômulo Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xandy FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
