In the 10th match minute, Supino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Carioca to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Piche's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Linhares came free, but Daniel Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago do Valle's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oswaldo Britto firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 21 minutes, Jorge Ceresso made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Piche's Daniel Abreu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Daniel Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Linhares in the 28th minute of the match. When Hernani Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Supino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Linhares couldn't finish the play. Oswaldo Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd match minute, Piche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Neto to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Cunha's late challenge caught a Supino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Paulo Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernani Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 42 played minutes Supino FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Gonçalves. A collision led to Piche getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Paulo Cunha hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Ceresso in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Abreu saved Piche from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes, Piche's Pedro Luís Peixoto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oswaldo Britto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piche reached it. In the 56th match minute, Piche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago do Valle to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Linhares in the 63rd minute of play forced Piche's goalkeeper Daniel Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Pedro Luís Peixoto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oswaldo Britto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kaká Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Daniel Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Piche's Daniel Abreu got control of the ball when Jorge Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernani Linhares in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Abreu saved Piche from getting behind. 77 minutes into the game, Piche's Thiago do Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Britto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 80 minutes into the game, Hernani Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Daniel Abreu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Jorge Ceresso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Daniel Abreu, 1-5.
