The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Christiano Carneiro put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Oh1 a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Glauco Moreno, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Possante de Jacó's Lucas Rezende. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Oh1's Celso de Sousa got a free kick in the 13th minute. Celso de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th match minute, Possante de Jacó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Prado to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes Oh1 got a freekick which was hit by Hudson do Vale. Lucas Rezende came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Oh1's João Francisco Salgado. But to his dismay, João Francisco Salgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Pena in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Maia saved Oh1 from getting behind. If Simão Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Possante de Jacó's Lucas Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Salgado in the 34th minute of play. Celso de Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Rezende having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Simão Pena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Maia was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Jefferson Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. With a little luck, Oh1's Elias Maia got control of the ball when Zé Augusto Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucas Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso de Sousa in the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to Oh1 getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Hugo Velloso hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Simão Pena made the kick off in the second half. Zé Augusto Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes, Marcinho Furlan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oh1 and the Possante de Jacó players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Oh1's Marcinho Furlan got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, José Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lucas Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 74 in the game by João Francisco Salgado from a close distance when the talented Lucas Rezende managed to make a qualified save. Possante de Jacó's players were relieved. 75 minutes into the match, Possante de Jacó's goalkeeper Lucas Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Salgado. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso de Sousa in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Rezende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Augusto Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Maia having to interfere. João Vítor Prado hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Lucas Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Francisco Salgado in the 82nd minute. If João Vítor Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Augusto Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Maia having to interfere. Elias Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Oh1's zone, Zé Augusto Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Maia came out of the goal and Zé Augusto Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Oh1 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
