Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sílvio Luís Prata started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute Sílvio Luís Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laranjal FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Dorian Cruz scored to the left of an out of position Emerson Matorin, making the score, 1-0. Dé Botelho's late challenge caught a Ione's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dé Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ione booed when Laranjal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Luís Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wellington Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Laranjal FC's Dé Botelho got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Emerson Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Laranjal FC's Dé Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wellington Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Laranjal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís Prata came free, but Emerson Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wellington Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laranjal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wellington Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ione's André Luís Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Salgado in the 37th minute of play. André Luís Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Botelho in the 42nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Emerson Matorin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Laranjal FC's Emerson Matorin got control of the ball when Roger Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenílson Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Wellington Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Luís Urbano made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Doni Salgado sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltazar Coutinho during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emerson Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Mota in the 73rd minute of the match. André Luís Urbano was a little too slow when João Paulo Berger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 2-2. Doni Salgado struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. André Luís Urbano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranjal FC. After 80 played minutes Laranjal FC got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Teixeira. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ione! The referee gave Laranjal FC a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wellington Salgado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ione's André Luís Urbano. 2-3. Emerson Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Prata in the 89th minute of the match. Ione's André Luís Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Berger in the 93rd minute of play. Emerson Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Mota in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Laranjal FC's Doni Salgado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Luís Urbano. André Luís Urbano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Laranjal FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
