In the 15th minute, Fabrício Mota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ione fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sílvio Luís Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Romero having to interfere. Nilson Romero came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ione's Sílvio Luís Prata. But to his dismay, Sílvio Luís Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 24 minutes of play, Ione's Sílvio Luís Prata made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson Romero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nilson Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Prata in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Sílvio Luís Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Samuel Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GUARANI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ione the free kick. After 37 played minutes GUARANI FC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Mota. If Dorian Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sílvio Luís Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nilson Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Claudinei de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Lenílson Figueiredo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nilson Romero. GUARANI FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 54th minute, Dorian Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match, Fabrício Mota got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nilson Romero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sílvio Luís Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Romero having to interfere. André Luís Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Mota in the 61st minute of the match. Nilson Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Prata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nilson Romero, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Mota got free with Nilson Romero in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After recieving a nice pass, GUARANI FC's Jonathan dos Santos tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Sílvio Luís Prata took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Nilson Romero to make any attempt to save it. The GUARANI FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ione's performance. The match ended with a win for Ione.
