Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Salvador City FC's Adalberto Falcão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dé Carioca's late challenge caught a Gurgel SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dé Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Salvador City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Adalberto Falcão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 14thth minute of the game Adalberto Falcão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gurgel SC's Adelino Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Falcão in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute Fabiano Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir Cavalcante was a little too slow when Fausto Secco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 28 minutes of play, Salvador City FC's Adalberto Falcão made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adelino Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from José Augusto Oliveira in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Salvador City FC's Emanuel de Sena. Fausto Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute Adalberto Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Secco got free with Almir Cavalcante in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabinho Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Dias to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Fausto Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Secco in the 58th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Salvador City FC's Benjamim de Amorim got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 64 played minutes Gurgel SC got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Oliveira. In the 68th minute, Fabiano Dias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. If Adalberto Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvador City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalberto Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gurgel SC had won after a very even match.
