In the 19th minute, Albano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after José Pedro Brasil fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Diego Braga made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Murilo de Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. Murilo de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Diego Braga made a huge save. PALMEIRAS FC's José Pedro Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27thth minute of the game José Pedro Brasil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Albano's Diego Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Murilo de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. PALMEIRAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, PALMEIRAS FC's José Pedro Brasil dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Murilo de Mendonça's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Diego Braga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Diego Braga was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Murilo de Mendonça capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Murilo de Mendonça really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Murilo de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murilo de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, José Pedro Brasil took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Diego Braga to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

After having played for 51 minutes, Murilo de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PALMEIRAS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Murilo de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When PALMEIRAS FC's Murilo de Mendonça in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Diego Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Brasil in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Albano got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Arce. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Pedro Brasil in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Braga saved Albano from getting behind. Murilo de Mendonça scored 12-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Braga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
