Carlos Augusto de Barros hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Yan Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gabi Gol came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Goianésia E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabi Gol couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Albano getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Leonardo Simões hit a great ball. If Yan Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gabi Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goianésia E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabi Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Brodel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diego Braga. Albano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Diego Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabi Gol's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Gabi Gol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gabi Gol sped through Albano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diego Braga. In the 39th minute, Carlos Augusto de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Augusto de Barros was the one to do the kick off. Diego Braga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Augusto Neto. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Gabi Gol took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Diego Braga to make any attempt to save it. Diego Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabi Gol in the 69th minute. If Carlos Augusto de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Albano's Rogério Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norbert Balonek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Yan Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goianésia E.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabi Gol in the 83rd minute of the match. Gabi Gol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Diego Braga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Goianésia E.C played a much better game than Albano and deserved their victory. The Albano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
