Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The supporters of Anarcos E.C booed when Pubas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Sarmento to make the kick off. Mauro da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Queiroz in the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Sarmento in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro da Mata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manoel Tobias came out of the goal and Amadeu Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pubas's Amadeu Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute Amadeu Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Tobias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
