Marco de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Manoel Tobias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Sarmento might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Sarmento ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th match minute, Anarcos E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heleno de Freitas to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes Anarcos E.C got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Leme. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco de Amaral in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Tobias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernani Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Sarmento in the 19th minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Rocheira got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho de Godoi. Rocheira's Marco de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Jeremias Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anarcos E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rocheira the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Anarcos E.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rocheira:s goal. The referee gave Rocheira a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dráusio da Cunha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Anarcos E.C's Manoel Tobias. 0-1. In the 37th minute, Fernandinho de Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rocheira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 40th minute, Eliézer Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Anarcos E.C's Heleno de Freitas to fire away a dangerous shot which Hernani Tasso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half Rocheira were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Sarmento made a kick off. Marco de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Manoel Tobias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Tobias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute of the match Rocheira got a corner. Anarcos E.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dráusio da Cunha ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Fernandinho de Barros to score against Manoel Tobias in Anarcos E.C's goal. 0-3 after 57 minutes. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Marco de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rocheira's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Tobias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco de Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manoel Tobias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco de Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Hernani Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agostinho Chaves was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 76th minute, Agostinho Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anarcos E.C's Luizão Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco de Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Manoel Tobias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hernani Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Sarmento in the 88th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Rocheira's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Sarmento came free, but Hernani Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Anarcos E.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rocheira were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
