Coco AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goianésia E.C the free kick. After 81 played minutes Coco AD got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Siqueira. Yan Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Vieira having to interfere. The supporters of Goianésia E.C booed when Coco AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Goianésia E.C's Eriberto Vieira threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yan Secco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Goianésia E.C played a much better game than Coco AD and deserved their victory. The Coco AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
