After 4 played minutes Timbu EC got a freekick which was hit by Adan Burutzagi. After 9 minutes of play, Timbu EC's Adan Burutzagi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 15 minutes, Edgard Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Betim MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Miliano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Simões in the 23rd minute of play forced Timbu EC's goalkeeper Raimundo Miliano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Zé Paulo Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, Timbu EC's Károly Vörös made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Adan Burutzagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Miliano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Simões went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Válbson Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Timbu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Valle to maneuver through the defense. When Maurício Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timbu EC's protests and gave Maurício Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. Maurício Matorin hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Simões got free with Raimundo Miliano in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamim Vieira hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Károly Vörös took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cássio Rossi. Cássio Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Cássio Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Burutzagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Károly Vörös fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Rossi having to interfere. Danilo Lima scored 5-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Rossi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Timbu EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
