When Sidnei Melo fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pubas's protests and gave Sidnei Melo a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Pubas's Mauro da Mata got control of the ball when Eliseu Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Eliseu Guerra put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro da Mata. The Pubas fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Pubas's Dedé Falcão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 19th minute, Natingui FC's Eliseu Guerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauro da Mata. Mauro da Mata yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Eliseu Guerra sped through Pubas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauro da Mata. In the 30th minute, Dedé Falcão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olavo Catarinense charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olavo Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olavo Catarinense hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Alisson Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedé Falcão's late challenge caught a Natingui FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dedé Falcão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Dedé Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natingui FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
