Leopoldo Vallejos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Tamboral's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Murilo de Mendonça 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. José Pedro Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Murilo de Mendonça got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 18 played minutes Tamboral got a freekick which was hit by David Antunes. With a little luck, Tamboral's Gustavo Carioca got control of the ball when Murilo de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Carioca was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Sven-Ove Åkerström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sven-Ove Åkerström really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Gustavo Carioca came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by PALMEIRAS FC's Murilo de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Murilo de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Murilo de Mendonça who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Carioca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 28th minute, PALMEIRAS FC's José Pedro Brasil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustavo Carioca. Gustavo Carioca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. Gustavo Carioca was a little too slow when Murilo de Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 7-0. José Pedro Brasil scored 8-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Carioca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Pedro Brasil in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo Carioca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gustavo Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Brasil in the 39th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Claudinei Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tamboral's zone, José Pedro Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Carioca came out of the goal and José Pedro Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Murilo de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Pedro Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gustavo Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Dito de Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamboral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALMEIRAS FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Dito de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, José Pedro Brasil notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Tamboral's Gustavo Carioca. Gustavo Carioca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Pedro Brasil succeeded in the game's 77th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 14-0. Murilo de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Gustavo Carioca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PALMEIRAS FC. Mazinho Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mazinho Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of PALMEIRAS FC booed when Tamboral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Sven-Ove Åkerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 15-0 when José Pedro Brasil sped through Tamboral's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustavo Carioca. After 87 minutes, José Pedro Brasil made it 16-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tamboral's Gustavo Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 92nd play minutes José Pedro Brasil shot 17-0, a short shot which went by Gustavo Carioca and just under the crossbar into goal. Tamboral's Gustavo Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Brasil in the 95th minute of play. Gustavo Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PALMEIRAS FC had played much better football throughout.
