The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Motta was the one to do the kick off. Célio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Diogo de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was Célio Motta who took care of the corner kick. Reginaldo Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reginaldo Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sou Vasco Animal FC booed when Carbonita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carbonita's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedro Luís Correia was slow to take the kick. During this time Sou Vasco Animal FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Carbonita's goalie and right to Alberto Toledo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Carbonita's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 89th minute, Carbonita's Gugu Mendonça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. After 91 played minutes Carbonita got a freekick which was hit by Elder Souto. After a defensive mix-up in Sou Vasco Animal FC's zone, Célio Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo de Moraes came out of the goal and Célio Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sou Vasco Animal FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ricardinho Gomes hit a great ball. Carbonita played a much better game than Sou Vasco Animal FC and deserved their victory. The Sou Vasco Animal FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
