The referee ignored Seu Paulo FC's protests and gave Remir Cambero a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Seu Paulo FC's zone, Frédson Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Netto came out of the goal and Frédson Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Seu Paulo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Santos to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th match minute, Seu Paulo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Cássio da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cagada Ensaiada FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
