Remir Cambero's late challenge caught a Gaviaozinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Seu Paulo FC's Fabrício Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Cardozo in the 8th minute of play. Valdir Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Cássio da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Seu Paulo FC's Fan Mo Yun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a little luck, Seu Paulo FC's Fabrício Netto got control of the ball when William Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Cardozo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabrício Netto came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Cardozo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. Cássio da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 22 minutes, Valdir Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seu Paulo FC and the Gaviaozinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Seu Paulo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Santos to maneuver through the defense. Juan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Andrade got free with Fabrício Netto in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. William Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Fabrício Netto made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cássio da Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Seu Paulo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomé Aparecido in the 54th minute. The corner ended in Tomé Aparecido almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gaviaozinho FC's Juan Sanches did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Gaviaozinho FC's zone, Fan Mo Yun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Sanches came out of the goal and Fan Mo Yun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cássio da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Juan Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabrício Netto came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaviaozinho FC's Cléberson Guimarães. But to his dismay, Cléberson Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 74th minute, Tomé Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrício Netto came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Gaviaozinho FC's Manuel Cardozo. But to his dismay, Manuel Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. After 87th play minutes Fan Mo Yun shot 3-4, a short shot which went by Juan Sanches and just under the crossbar into goal. 91 minutes into the match, Seu Paulo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cléberson Guimarães came free, but Fabrício Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fan Mo Yun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gaviaozinho FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Seu Paulo FC to win.
