With his leg Diogo de Moraes managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Seu Paulo FC's Cássio da Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute, Ricardinho Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cássio da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sou Vasco Animal FC's zone, Amadeu das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo de Moraes came out of the goal and Amadeu das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sou Vasco Animal FC's Diogo de Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Sou Vasco Animal FC from getting a goal against them. If Amadeu das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
