Inácio Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Carneiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Teles in the 6th minute of play forced SDR F.C's goalkeeper Geovani Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SDR F.C getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Manoel Vale hit a great ball. João Augusto Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SDR F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emerson Lago in the 12th minute. The corner led SDR F.C's Emerson Lago to fire away a dangerous shot which João Augusto Carneiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Afonso Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SDR F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, SDR F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Teles came free, but Geovani Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovani Moreno came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Irajai's Hélio Teles. But to his dismay, Hélio Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Inácio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Irajai's Charles da Silveira in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SDR F.C's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the game, Irajai's Hélio Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Irajai's Rômulo de Medeiros got a free kick in the 37th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes, Naldo Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SDR F.C and the Irajai players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SDR F.C's Naldo Pires got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Wiliam Braga, 55 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ronaldinho Quintal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Emerson Lago didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Rômulo de Medeiros took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovani Moreno. Geovani Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. With a little luck, SDR F.C's Geovani Moreno got control of the ball when Charles da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 73 minutes, Ronaldão Guedes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irajai and the SDR F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Irajai got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Guedes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Capixaba in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Hélio Teles put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Geovani Moreno. Manoel Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leonel Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Irajai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Maranhense couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Hélio Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emerson Lago during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes SDR F.C got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Lago. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Irajai walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
