Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 7 minutes, Giuseppe Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abafadinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Pedro de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Pedro de Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesinha Coutinho went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. José Pedro de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Abafadinho's Cesinha Coutinho. But to his dismay, Cesinha Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Giuseppe Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Abafadinho's zone, Dedê Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Tróia came out of the goal and Dedê Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Cesinha Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abafadinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesinha Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in OsCaneleiros's zone, Giuseppe Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro de Mendonça came out of the goal and Giuseppe Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesinha Coutinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Pedro de Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesinha Coutinho ran back to his position shaking his head. The OsCaneleiros players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Abafadinho were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doriva Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. Doriva Mota recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Giuseppe Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 60 in the game by Cesinha Coutinho from a close distance when the talented José Pedro de Mendonça managed to make a qualified save. OsCaneleiros's players were relieved. 62 minutes into the match, OsCaneleiros's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Meira came free, but José Pedro de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Dedê Alves made a precise shot to the right of Zé Pedro Tróia. Abafadinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Abafadinho's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doriva Mota struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Zé Pedro Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OsCaneleiros. When Mané Teles fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abafadinho's protests and gave Mané Teles a yellow card for diving instead. Mané Teles hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. OsCaneleiros's José Pedro de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Meira in the 80th minute of play. Cesinha Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Zeca Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. OsCaneleiros's José Pedro de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Meira in the 84th minute of play. Abafadinho's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
