Douglas Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Régis Moreira had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jorginho Valle from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 11th minute, Leonel Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Motta. Carinhatas F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Douglas Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Moreira in the 14th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Amadeu Maciel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Motta. Carinhatas F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Maciel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Douglas Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jorginho Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carinhatas F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorginho Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 played minutes Vasco da Gama Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gino de Andrade. When Denílson Araújo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 39 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Régis Moreira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Felipe Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Dias to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorginho Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Moreira having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Denílson Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carinhatas F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Leonel Moreira scored to the left of an out of position Douglas Motta, making the score, 0-3. Régis Moreira came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Carinhatas F.C's Jorginho Valle. But to his dismay, Jorginho Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After having played for 61 minutes, Denílson Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carinhatas F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carinhatas F.C's Douglas Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Carinhatas F.C from getting a goal against them. Douglas Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gino de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Régis Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Valle in the 78th minute of play. If Manuel Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Douglas Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Dias in the 84th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Jorginho Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Vasco da Gama Clube echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Carinhatas F.C had held the ball for most of the match.
