Ruy Quintal hit a great ball. Zé Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sarutai EC booed when Unidos da Pucurunga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dudu Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. José Paulo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35thth minute of the game Dudu Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Paulo Cardoso had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Dudu Rezende from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 42ndth minute of the game Dudu Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Sarutai EC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Barbosa came free, but José Paulo Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute, Dudu Rezende left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unidos da Pucurunga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dudu Rezende in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo Cardoso saved Sarutai EC from getting behind. Eugênio Neiva made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Alan Matorin sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th match minute, Sarutai EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Rezende in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zé Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Paulo Cardoso was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Sarutai EC defense, Dudu Rezende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paulo Cardoso. The Sarutai EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paulo Cardoso should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dudu Rezende in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo Cardoso saved Sarutai EC from getting behind. Alan Matorin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Eugênio Neiva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zé Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Dudu Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unidos da Pucurunga's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
