An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Bruce in the 6th minute of play forced Sarutai EC's goalkeeper José Paulo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro de Moraes's late challenge caught a Laranja Mecânica AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro de Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sarutai EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ramiro de Moraes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Messias in the 9th minute of play forced Sarutai EC's goalkeeper José Paulo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Laranja Mecânica AF's Lee Bruce in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sarutai EC's goalie prevented a goal. After 15th play minutes Lee Bruce shot 0-2, a short shot which went by José Paulo Cardoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Beto Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Cardoso having to interfere. After 21 minutes of play, Laranja Mecânica AF's Lee Bruce made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Paulo Cardoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lee Bruce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. José Paulo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Laranja Mecânica AF fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Laranja Mecânica AF's Lee Bruce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Bruce in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Juninho Cardozo collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Laranja Mecânica AF's Eugênio Paraense was substituted for Juninho Cardozo. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica AF booed when Sarutai EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes in the game Ramiro de Moraes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Benjamim Bastos. After some careless play in the Sarutai EC defense, Lee Bruce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paulo Cardoso. The Sarutai EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paulo Cardoso should have stopped the shot. José Paulo Cardoso came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Laranja Mecânica AF's Tiago Freire. But to his dismay, Tiago Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. José Paulo Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lee Bruce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alan Matorin was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Lee Bruce took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for José Paulo Cardoso to make any attempt to save it. In the 57thth minute of the game Lee Bruce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Paulo Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lee Bruce's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Lee Bruce's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, José Paulo Cardoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sarutai EC's José Paulo Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Messias in the 62nd minute of play. Natã Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Cardoso having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Lee Bruce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laranja Mecânica AF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Beto Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Paulo Cardoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Lee Bruce might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Paulo Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lee Bruce ran back to his position shaking his head. Beto Cabral was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Laranja Mecânica AF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gerson Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Laranja Mecânica AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerson Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Sarutai EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Laranja Mecânica AF:s goal. When the match had been going on for 88 minutes, Laranja Mecânica AF's Natã Messias got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of José Paulo Cardoso. Lee Bruce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Cardoso having to interfere. Laranja Mecânica AF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
