In the 8th minute, Lucas Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Carinhatas F.C defense, Perivaldo Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Motta. The Carinhatas F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Motta should have stopped the shot. In the 13th match minute, Itapeacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Denílson Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Pedro Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denílson Araújo in the 18th minute. Jorginho Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Lucas having to interfere. Jorginho Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Zé Pedro Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Denílson Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Donatello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Motta. Carinhatas F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Donatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 33 minutes into the game, Christiano Gaspar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Douglas Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Pedro Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Itapeacu's Zé Pedro Lucas got control of the ball when Denílson Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Douglas Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute Pedro Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Douglas Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Mendes got free with Douglas Motta in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Carinhatas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Marquez came free, but Douglas Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Itapeacu getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Pedro Marquez hit a great ball. Carinhatas F.C's Douglas Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Tande in the 61st minute of play. Carinhatas F.C's Jorginho Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Pedro Lucas came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Carinhatas F.C's Denílson Araújo. But to his dismay, Denílson Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Marquez in the 82nd minute of play forced Carinhatas F.C's goalkeeper Douglas Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Donatello in the 83rd minute of the match. Davi Goiano's late challenge caught a Itapeacu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davi Goiano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Itapeacu booed when Carinhatas F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carinhatas F.C's Douglas Motta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Carinhatas F.C from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Itapeacu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
