With an all-out effort, IMIRIM FC's Spencer Hopson threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Délio Varela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. IMIRIM FC's Guga Cordeiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fausto Peixoto, made in the 6th minute of the game. After 15 minutes of play, Gifters Predations's Ricardinho Santana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeferson do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jardel da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gifters Predations's supporters rose to their feet, but Jardel da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The throw-in from Elano Andrade in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gifters Predations's Amílton Koehler. Spencer Hopson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Ricardinho Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gifters Predations's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardinho Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes Gifters Predations got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Koehler. With a little luck, Gifters Predations's Spencer Hopson got control of the ball when Délio Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, IMIRIM FC's Fernando Félix got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gifters Predations's Célio Borges was substituted for Gilvan Queiroz. Fernando Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Jardel da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 played minutes IMIRIM FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo da Mata. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Samuca Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. IMIRIM FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuca Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spencer Hopson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Amílton Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spencer Hopson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Gifters Predations booed when IMIRIM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jeferson do Vale made a huge save. If Célio Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeferson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Santana in the 82nd minute of play. If Délio Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, IMIRIM FC's Délio Varela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Spencer Hopson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 91 minutes into the match, Osvaldo da Mata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Spencer Hopson. Gifters Predations's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo da Mata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
