Spectators: 5210 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Davi Meireles kicked off to start the match. A sloppy throw-in by Natã Hoffmann in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Corinthians sp's Emanuel Silva. After having played for 8 minutes, Orlando Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Navegantes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 9 played minutes Navegantes got a freekick which was hit by Duda de Andrade. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernando Nogueira in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauro Barral saved Navegantes from getting behind. Adhemar Negri made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Orlando Negri. In the 16th minute, Carlos Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davi Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th match minute, Corinthians sp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Navegantes booed when Corinthians sp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gugu Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians sp's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Iuri Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Navegantes's Davi Meireles in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corinthians sp's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Corinthians sp's Emanuel Silva got a free kick in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Orlando Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tony Freire was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson Cerezo was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Gugu Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauro Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tiaguinho Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelson Cerezo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lauro Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nelson Cerezo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Navegantes's Orlando Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Freire narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Navegantes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
