Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Avatarnense's Dieguinho Quirino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Spencer Hopson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Quirino in the 3rd minute of play. Avatarnense's Valdo Xavier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Borges in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Avatarnense's Dieguinho Quirino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 10 played minutes Gifters Predations got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Maciel. In the 13th minute, Gifters Predations's Nicolas Nogueira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicolas Nogueira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gifters Predations protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicolas Nogueira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 12 minutes into the game, one of Gifters Predations:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Avatarnense's João Carlos Campidelis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Spencer Hopson. A collision led to Gifters Predations getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Amílton Koehler hit a great ball. Spencer Hopson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Adriano Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Spencer Hopson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Quirino in the 22nd minute of play. Spencer Hopson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Spencer Hopson made a huge save. Valdo Xavier came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Gifters Predations's Célio Borges. But to his dismay, Célio Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Durvalino de Amorim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Spencer Hopson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cléberson Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Célio Borges to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdo Xavier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Célio Borges's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Avatarnense's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amílton Koehler was slow to take the kick. During this time Gifters Predations's players had a chance to rest. Valdo Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes Avatarnense got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Barros. 62 minutes into the match, Cléberson Maciel notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Avatarnense's Valdo Xavier. Valdo Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute, Durvalino de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Spencer Hopson. Gifters Predations's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 72nd minute Adriano Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spencer Hopson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Kaká Peres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Spencer Hopson skillfully saved the ball. Jardel da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Xavier having to interfere. Avatarnense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
