The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuca Albuquerque during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, IMIRIM FC's Samuca Albuquerque got a free kick in the 10th minute. Guga Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Artur Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 21 in the game by Samuca Albuquerque from a close distance when the talented Artur Salgado managed to make a qualified save. APCV's players were relieved. Elano Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the last second Artur Salgado throw himself and got hold of the ball when Délio Varela in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Vinícius Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Samuca Albuquerque had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Salgado. APCV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Albuquerque was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Délio Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Salgado having to interfere. Artur Salgado made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Samuca Albuquerque sent off a good shot on target. If Délio Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Samuca Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Artur Salgado. APCV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Délio Varela made the kick off in the second half. If Délio Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Albuquerque in the 57th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Vinícius Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the APCV and the IMIRIM FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, APCV's Vinícius Pitta got a free kick in the 58th minute. Samuca Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Salgado having to interfere. The supporters of IMIRIM FC booed when APCV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuca Albuquerque took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Salgado. Artur Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Otávio Bastos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeferson do Vale having to make a save. A collision led to APCV getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. William Tande hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, APCV's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Albuquerque came free, but Artur Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes, Duarte Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the APCV and the IMIRIM FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Duarte Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in APCV's zone, Délio Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Salgado came out of the goal and Délio Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, APCV's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Albuquerque came free, but Artur Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. APCV's Artur Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Albuquerque in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to APCV getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Carlos de Azevedo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in APCV's zone, Délio Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Salgado came out of the goal and Délio Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guga Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Salgado having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. IMIRIM FC had played much better football throughout.
